Lets Go To France | Travel Diaries

So I had the opportunity to take a mini ‘vaycay’ and so my boyfriend suggested Paris. Needless to say I was super excited because 1, I had not been to France in almost 12 years and I could hardly remember anything except the Eiffel tower (obviously), and 2, I was going through a rough patch, so I just needed to get my mind off things. Anyone who knows me knows that I love to travel. It is not a lie when they say that travelling enriches the soul and expands the mind. I always feel more enriched and inspired when I travel to different places. I would love to travel to more places in Africa though. See the clear blue beaches in Zanzibar, go bungee jumping over the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, go quad biking on the sand dunes of Namibia and many more. A girl can dream right? hehe! Anyway back to Paris…

Despite the fact that it was quite cold, Paris is truly a beautiful city. It is now heavily guarded with soldiers due to the recent terrorist attacks, however, one cannot ignore the amazing scenery that Paris has to offer. Not only is the scenery amazing but the french cuisine is to die for. I got to eat the famous ‘raclette’ and man oh man was it amazing. I would highly recommend it to anyone travelling to France.

We visited quite a lot of places, but my highlights were; going to visit the massive Louvre museum, taking a tour around the monumental and incredibly beautiful ‘Palace of Versailles’ (the home of the kings of France back in the day) and of course going to visit the Eiffel tower again. One can never get tired of the Eiffel Tower, in my opinion.

More pictures of our amazing trip are below. The biggest myth about travelling is that it is too expensive. But the truth is, if you are smart about it, you can find plenty of budget friendly deals from accommodation to flight tickets and more. Look throughly and ask questions. If you are like me and have the travel bug, instead of buying the latest gadget, save some money, plan a trip with some friends and go explore. You do not need to go far, but just visit a place you have never been before, even if it is in your own country. You will thank me later.

What is the one place you would like to travel to in your lifetime? I think my ultimate travel destination would be Thailand, but this could change. Let me know yours in the comment section.

Much Love,

Lady Bawss xxx
