I never used to understand when people said I need to trim my hair to maximise hair growth. Like why? How does cutting my hair grow it? I would always ask myself these questions. Until one day I finally got it.
I realised I was getting a lot of split ends on my hair and as a result my hair would get lack movement when I stretched it. I also noticed that these split ends were causing knots and tangles on my hair. So detangling my hair was becoming a tedious process, also combing out knots can lead to a lot of breakage. So thats when it all clicked. Trimming my ends got rid of my split ends and knots. So as a result minimises breakage when combing and therefore I am able to retain my hair length. Viola!
I don’t trim my hair often though, I just do so when I see my split ends causing tangles. Check out my video below to see how I trim my hair, I also show you my pesky split ends.
Do you trim your natural hair? If so how often?
